Victory at Sea!

Surfcosta crew brings home the gold.
The first ESA competition of the sea was yesterday. With 9 ft seas and a steady offshore wind the waves were standing up, making barrels the move of the day. Size was from chest to several feet overhead on sets. Fast moving west swell made rights the wave of choice.

Mike took 3rd in masters shortboard and (drum roll)... first in Sr. Longboard. I took 1st in mens longboard again, defending my title from the last event successfully.

Other notables. We witnessed on wipe out that resulted the dude's board exploding into three pieces. I made it on the home page of the local Panama City surf shop, http://mrsurfs.com Posted by Picasa

Sony Pictures - Surf's Up
What's the "True Story" part of this? I haven't watched the trailer yet but the big character in the back could be Greg Noll?
