Surfing is a Trip

Bert just bought a new place at Mexico Beach about 25 miles east of PC. This beach unfortunately faces south east so it misses a lot swell, but check http://www.surfmexicobeach.com/ for some of the hurricane pics.

Check out the new video I just posted on Fluid Surf Shop. Now that I compare this video with the shot of Mike, two posts earlier, I think they might have been training together for a while. Hmmmm...

 

The site's been averaging about 60 hits a day for the last few days, no doubt people searching for Alberto surf info. Unfortunately I don't have a lot to share as I haven't been able to get in water this entire swell. www.Gulfster.com has all the photos you need, and www.BlueMountainSurf.com has got some too.
We registered hits from Italy, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and Germany, not to mention Ohio and California.

Getting through the flatness by building up skateboards! Here is my new Original 41" Freeride, Revenge Trucks and 70mm wheels. And yes, it rides as good as it looks. It will turn a circle as fast as you care to with no wheel bite. Also shown is Dylan's new ride. My pennance for swiping his trucks for a few days while waiting on the brown truck...He gets to ride the new 76mm Original wheels on his tiny deck...1/2" risers to clear. It's super stable now and better suited to his 4 year old knack for running over things!
