We had a great time at the Surf-Expo. It was amazing to see all that merchandise in one room. John and I were able to put our hands on so many boards and we talked shop with some key players in the industry. It was nice and educational to talk board design with the actual guys doing the shaping. John narrowed his fish choice down to a Kane Garden design. And I came home with a new Hydro-Epic, Dick Brewer shape. It's a 7'8" swallow tail. Carbon with red kevlar and aluminum honeycomb topdeck and carbon bottom. We checked out all the carbon competition and Hydro has some key design advantages. We've had some great luck with the surf this week, been out four times already, from overhead to clean waist high. The Brewer really flys. Super fast off the turns and light as a feather on the floaters. I picked up some wicked foiled Futures fins for it at the expo and they feel good
